Paul Wilde Counselling and Psychotherapy in Birmingham

A brief hello from Paul Wilde at Counselling in Birmingham

Thank you for checking out my site. I am a qualified counsellor and registered integrative psychotherapist in  Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, West Midlands, where I have a private practice.

I offer confidential professional counselling using an integrative approach in my work with clients.  I work with individuals and in groups on a range of problems and issues including, relationship issues, work-related issues, loss, and bereavement, eating disorders, self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness, stress, anxiety, and depression. I work short-term, or long-term. The number of sessions depends greatly on the nature of the concern and your preference.

My counselling practice takes an integrative ‘relational-and-developmental’ approach, that incorporates Psychodynamic, Object Relations, Gestalt, Humanistic, and Transactional Analysis ideas and practice. But most importantly I work in a relaxed relational way developing a sound therapeutic relationship with you to provide a structure and space to explore your concerns.

I provide a caring and professional counselling service, and all work undertaken is strictly confidential. I offer counselling/psychotherapy in Sutton Coldfield town centre with easy access from Birmingham, Walsall, Lichfield, and Tamworth,  West Midlands.

Training and qualifications

I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as an integrative psychotherapist, and I am on a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority maintained by them. I am a graduate member of The Sherwood Institute. I have a Masters degree in Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Post Graduate Certificate in the Supervision of Counsellors, and other counselling qualifications.
I began my practice in 1999.
